November 8-10, 2007 Tim Back traveled to Hartford, Connecticut to the annual TCIA (Tree Care Industry Asscoiation) Expo.

Tim’s aggressive fight against the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) has lead him on a misson to Hartford joining Peter Wild, CEO of Arborjet for an interview and classes.

Later this year Tim will travel to Massachusetts to review the lastest research at the Arborjet headquarters to continue his aggressive fight to save the Greater Cincinnati area’s Ash trees.

The November 7th research update meeting in Waldo, Ohio brought huge news for treating the Emerald Ash Borer.  New results have proven to be 100% effective on killing the borer in a tree treated with emamectin benzoate.  This research shows a two to three year residual.  In other words, the tree was protected for over two years.

No word yet on cost.  In fact the insecticide is still in the emergency EPA Registration process.

Back Tree Service will be including this new formulation in its fight against Emerald Ash Borer as we continue to save Ash trees in the Greater Cincinnati tree service area.
